What is a reefer container?

A reefer container is a refrigerated shipping container with built-in cooling equipment that maintains a controlled temperature environment for perishable cargo. Reefer containers are available in standard 20ft and 40ft sizes and can maintain temperatures from approximately -30°C to +30°C depending on specification.
