What is a high-cube shipping container?

A high-cube container is one foot taller than a standard container, with an external height of 9ft 6in (2.896m) compared to the standard 8ft 6in (2.591m). High-cube containers are popular for storing bulky, lightweight goods and for conversion projects where additional headroom is valuable.
