What are the internal dimensions of a 20-foot shipping container?

A standard 20-foot shipping container has internal dimensions of approximately 5.9m long x 2.35m wide x 2.39m high, giving a usable volume of around 33 cubic metres. The internal width and height are slightly less than the external dimensions due to the wall thickness of the steel structure.
